The overall results of classes X, XII and classes V, VIII of Bhopal region witnessed another low. Ironically, State capital Bhopal could not make it to the top ten list of MPBSE results for classes X and XII and Rajya Shiksha Kendra (RSK) results for classes V, VIII. A comprehensive analysis of the result showcase varying performances across different districts of Madhya Pradesh. Bhopal recorded comparatively lower passing per cent, indicating potential areas for the improvement in education system. In higher secondary result, while Narsinghpur and Neemuch like backward areas appeared on the top position, Bhopal stood on 11th position. There are 81.22% students passed the class XII exam from Government schools and 83.02% students from non-government schools of Narsinghpur. If we talk about Bhopal, 70.5 % students from Government schools and 68.32% students from non-Government schools passed the exam.

Similarly, in high school exam Balaghat and Seoni districts appeared in the top list with 71.04% (Government), 15.45% (private schools) and 56.81% (Government), 11.13% students passed the exam respectively. Bhopal appeared on 14th place in the list with passing per cent of 59.56% in Government schools and 12.07% in private schools. The same situation prevailed in class V and VIII exam where Bhopal could not appeared even in the top five list of districts. In class V, highest passing percent with A+ and A grade reported from Jabalpur (31.46%) following with 27.78% from Shahdol. Bhopal remained on the sixth position with 24.11% students having ‘A’ and ‘A+’ grades. In higher passing per cent category, Shadol remained on top position with 94.74% following with Indore 94.31%. Bhopal remained on 7th position with 90.18% students.
 
In the category of districts having better performance in comparison to previous years, Bhopal failed to appear in the top ten list. Talking about poor performance of Bhopal even after having top quality facilities, teachers and infra structure in both Government and private schools, educationists said district has dropped the place in top list in elementary education. Officials of School Education Department (SED) said to improve the result of class V and class VIII students, various efforts were made in schools. Parents were informed about the quality of education to the ward at various times and learning outcome based question bank were distributed to prepare for Olympiad like exam. Students were asked to prepare for the NMMS like scholarship. Weak and strong students from each class were identified and special remedial class were provided to the students.
