Law and order has been challenged with the murder of a pregnant woman after looting her on main road in Bhola Nagar area under the jurisdiction of Madhotal police station, on Saturday night. Around 4-5 miscreants stopped the bolero car in which couple along with a kid were travelling and pelted stones on car. They then strangulated the pregnant woman when she tried to retaliate against looting attempt. The deceased has been identified as Reshma Choudhary (28), a resident of Mother Teresa Nagar. SHO of Madhotal police station, Vipin Tamrakar informed that receiving the information of a loot incident, he along with police team reached the spot and started investigation into the case. He informed that Shubham Choudhary along with his wife Reshma Choudhary and son travelling in Bolero car bearing registration number MP-20TA-1712.

 

They were passing through Bhola Nagar when some miscreants stopped their car by blocking the way and started pelting stones on the car. Shubham came out from his car when miscreants attacked him with stone and he lost his consciousness. Thereafter, miscreants tried to snatch Mangalsutra from Reshma when she tried to protect herself but miscreants strangulated her with her Dupatta and looted her Mangalsutra, gold tops, her bag and two mobile handsets and managed to escape from the spot. Some passer-bys found Shubham laying on the road and found Reshma inside the car. Taking a serious note into the case, Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh (IPS) reached the spot and started investigation into the case. Separate police teams have been constituted to identify and apprehend the accused but police have yet to find any clue.
