Ahead of the third phase of Lok Sabha elections scheduled on Tuesday, areas near Lal Parade Ground will encounter a higher density of traffic due to transport of election related material and several other electoral related works. Taking a note of the same, the Police Department has issued a traffic advisory and has urged people to comply with the same on Monday. As per the Department, from 6 am till departure of polling teams from Lal Parade Ground, residents of the city going through DB Mall trisection to Jail headqurters will be able to travel to their destination via Jinsi dharmakanta and old city.
 
The traffic movement from police headquarters to old police control room and Gandhi Park trisection and Roshanpura will be restricted. Similarly, traffic movement on Machhlighar Trisection and Gandhi Nagar will be also prohibited for general commuters. In the advisory issued by the administration, the Department has also prescribed routes smooth transition in the city according to which travellers going from Roshanpura to Bharat Talkies will be able to go through Banganga, Macchlighar, Khatlapura, PHQ trisection and Lili talkies. For those going to railway station and bus stand from TT Nagar, will be able to move through Apex Bank, Link road number 1, Board office cross section and Aishbagh intersection and vice versa.
 
Buses which are to be used in the electoral process will be parked at Lal Parade Ground, MVM College and Horse riding ground and the officials on polling duty will be able to park their vehicles in front of Motilal Stadium at ITI ground, Aambagiya and band school parking. Whereas, for the additional staff, the vehicles will be parked at Rustom Complex and MLA rest house complex. The Department has also issued helpline numbers in case of confusion and has urged the civilians to adhere to the traffic advisory.
