Asserting that the speed with which the Congress had denounced demonetisation, Bharatiya Janata Party State President Dharamlal Kaushik stated that with similar speed people throughout the country are distancing themselves from the Congress. The winning note during the last elections held in 2016 has indicated good and prospective future for Bharatiya Janata Party and its government in next two years and in 2018 again the Bharatiya Janata Party will come to power for the fourth consecutive time.
Extending his best wishes and gratitude to one and all for supporting Bharatiya Janata Party during the civic bodies’ election, BJP State President while addressing a crowded press conference extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh for their good governance. He said alike in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Chandigarh and different parts of the country, people from Chhattisgarh has come forward and supported the demonetization decision taken by PM Modi, which this election aptly proves. He also expressed his gratitude to election in-charges including Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal, MLA Shivratan Sharma, Urban Administration Minister Amar Agrawal and Bhupendra Savanni and all other party workers and office-bearers. He also took the opportunity to congratulate Chandrakanta Mandle and Amit Agrawal along with all BJP candidates who won as Corporators.
Kaushik further added that there are multiple issues which affect elections but Bharatiya Janata Party has stuck to its issue of development. Keeping this in view, the Chief Minister had given the status of municipal corporation to Bhilai-Charoda and municipality status to Sarangarh. Today development works are being undertaken in these areas. This trust has enabled the party to win elections since last three consecutive terms and in future also it will continue to do so.
Bandh call given by Chhattisgarh Congress earlier was taken back. Fresh Bandh Call given by Congress had been negated both by people and shop-owners through out the state. Both in elections and bandh, the Congress has been negated by the people. In the coming days the party and its government will become strong and in next Assembly elections the party will come to power again.
Elucidating the word ‘impossible’, the flamboyant Minister said when the area was declared and Municipal Corporation, people had many expectations. However, the seat was declared Scheduled Caste seat which sent shock waves to many aspiring candidates. It is only possible in Bharatiya Janata Party where all those who were enraged could be pacified and their mental frame was prepared for campaigning in favour of SC candidate.
Asserting that the Bharatiya Janata Party workers and office-bearers know how to conquer the opposition’s stronghold, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said despite getting success in civic body’s elections, Bharatiya Janata Party is striding ahead as per strategy towards forthcoming Assembly elections in 2018. Asserting that small and big every party has its own significance, existence and vote bank, hence significance of no political party can be negated.
The Chief Minister said both CPCC and CJCJ are working hard and he extended his best wishes to them.
