Man booked for criminal breach of trust

GANESHPETH Police on Friday booked Girish Madhukar Wadvekar for criminal breach of trust.
Between February 2016 and August 24, 2016, Wadvekar, a resident of Plot No 40, Beghar Mitra Society, Hudkeshwar Naka, gained confidence of Yogesh Chandrakant Parate (40) for starting international call centres at Empress Mall and Matey Chowk. He made Parate to sign an agreement of Rs 35 lakh with three international call centre clients and allegedly forced him to deposit Rs six lakh in his bank account.
When Parate asked him to return the money, he issued him a cheque of Rs 20 lakh and then asked the bank authorities to stop payment.
Following a complaint lodged by Parate, a resident of Plot No 40, Beghar Mitra Society, cops registered an offence under Section 406 of the Indian Penal Code.
