Police name accused Akhilesh Singh as prime suspect in Samta Colony shootout case

Akhilesh Singh had signed a deal with Ajay Kumar Rao for supply of woods worth about Rs 32 lakh
Investigation in the Samta Colony shootout case has zeroed in on one accused Akhilesh Singh, a resident of Bihar, who had disputes with victim M Ajay Kumar Rao over a contract for the supply of woods.
Police sources informed that M Ajay Kumar was a manager at Kitply Plywood Company. The company also has a plantation at Dhamdha in Bemetara, where they grow furniture woods. Unofficial sources, meanwhile, informed that Akhilesh Singh had signed a deal with Ajay Kumar Rao for the supply of woods worth about Rs 32 lakh and also made some advance payment for the same.
However, Ajay Kumar wanted Akhilesh Singh to make full payment before supplying of woods. The negotiation was going on since past around six months, but Akhilesh could not persuade Ajay Kumar Rao. On the fateful day also, Akhilesh first came to negotiate, but he failed once again, he later came back with a gun and shot Rao.
There was one more person with Akhilesh Singh, whose identity wasn’t confirmed by Police yet.
Rumours are also going round that main accused Akhilesh Singh has already been nabbed even as police was thoroughly examining the call records of victim M Ajay Kumar Rao, whose condition was reported critical.
