Singer Sukhwinder Singh, who lent his voice for Vishwal Bhardwajs upcoming film Rangoon in which Gulzar penned all the songs, says that it is always a learning experience working with them.

“As the music and lyrics of the film is the collaboration of Vishal- Gulzar duo, whenever I work with them, I learn something new. I have quite a long association with Vishalji and Gulzar sahib.

“We started working together from Omkara and the best part of working with them is to sing the best song and learn the best thing about your craft,” Sukhwinder told IANS.
The singer who became famous overnight for his song Chaiyya Chaiyya and won Filmfare Award for Best Playback Singer in 1999, crooned many super hit songs like Ramta Jogi, Beedi Jalaile, Jalwa to Marjaani, Thok De Killi, Chak De! India and Jai Ho, among others.

He says that every collaboration teaches him a lot.
“Just think about the versatility of these people who can write and compose “Beedi Jalaile” and “Bismil” with equal ease! So you understand the reason why every collaboration with them teaches me a lot,” said Sukhwinder.
Apart from working with legends like Gulzar, Vishal Bhardwaj and A.R. Rahman, the singer also worked with directors like Salim - Sulaiman, Vishal - Shekhar, and Amit Trivedi, among others.

Sharing his experience, he said: “I am not a singer who would say that earlier music was great in film and with time it is deteriorating. I accept the changes in music and grow with it. All the young music directors that I have worked with are very talented and passionate.”
