BJP celebrated the victory of party in Maihar Assembly by-election in a big manner on Tuesday. Senior leaders and party workers expressed happiness on victory and celebrated the occasion by offering sweets to each other.

Senior BJP leader and former CM Kailash Joshi expressed his happiness by offering sweet to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and state BJP President Nandkumar Singh Chouhan. Earlier, these leaders have garlanded the statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhayay.

Congratulating party workers on victory in Maihar by-election, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that party candidate Narayan Tripathi has received an unimaginable victory.

Traditionally Maihar assembly seat was not of BJP but mandate to ruling party is an indication that those who work for people’s service and development would get the mass support. Poor people have rejected all the propaganda of Congress. Now Congress will not be able to exploit people emotionally. On the contrary, people have also shown that caste politics is now over. He requested party to accept the victory politely.

Urging party workers to work for welfare of people, he added that there is no other target to remain in politics other than serving the people.

Talking about the apprehensions expressed by political pundits before the election that Maihar seat is stronghold of Congress and he shall desist from throwing his all weight as it may spoils his image, he said that he had rather believed in serving the people.

He also spoke about welfare schemes of his government. BJP State President Nandkumar Singh Chouhan said it is due to popularity of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and people’s faith that ruling party got the chance to clinch the victory in Maihar assembly byelection. He said none other than CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan is the main architect of victory.

This by-election was the fight of prestige and BJP had finally managed to wrest the seat from Congress. This victory is going to prove a mile tone. On this occasion, Ministers Rajendra Shukla, Rampal Singh and other elected representatives were present.
