BJP’s two-day State Executive Committee meeting begins in Sagar

Two-day State Executive Committee meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) started at Sagar on Tuesday. Various issues were discussed at length. BJP thanked Centre over surgical strike and demonetisation and claimed that people are with the demonetisation decision.


Addressing the members, State BJP President Nandkumar Singh Chouhan shed light on party’s success received in by-elections held recently in State and said it is victory of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP. He said people approved the development work of State Government in by election of Shahdol Lok Sabha and Nepa Nagar Assembly respectively.


Talking about Narmada Seva Yatra, he told that in his 35-year-long political life he had never seen such a response to Narmada Seva Yatra initiative. The aim is to connect people in large number through this Yatra.


Union Minister Thawarchand Gehlot praised Modi and Shivraj governments and told that both governments are working in a better manner. Telling that now Congress, which was once biggest party of India, has been reduced to a few states. He stated that Shivraj government touched new heights in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is ahead of Gujarat in development rate. Even other states have implemented Madhya Pradesh’s schemes and some schemes have been even picked up by the Centre. Talking about demonetisation, he told that people have praised the decision and all are with PM Narendra Modi. Demonetisation decision would prove a big decision in nailing down terrorism, corruption and black money. Later, BJP Vice President Ajay Pratap Singh had spoken to journalists and informed that discussion was done to do development in regional areas. He also said party had sought information about financial transaction done between December 8 and December 31 from party office-bearers. One political proposal was also passed in the meeting.
