Dual murder case: Two more shooters, trying to flee to Delhi arrested in Rewa

CONTINUING rigorous investigations in the dual blind murder mystery, police apprehended two more shooters in Kukku Punjabi and Raju Mishra shoot-out case and seized two pistols and five live cartridges from them. The accused were trying to escape to Delhi when Crime Branch team nabbed them in Rewa. The arrested have been identified as Bhola alias Anand Pandey (19), son of Upendranath Pandey, a native of village Kutwa Narayanpur in district Balia, Uttar Pradesh, and lived in Banaras and Anurag Singh (19), son of Rakesh Singh, a resident of Kashipur in Lanka, Banaras district.

Another accused of shoot-out incident named Vijay Yadav, Monu Sablok, Adesh Soni, Binnu Vishwakarma and Saurabh are still at large. Superintendent of Police Mahendra Singh Sikarwar informed this while addressing a press conference on Tuesday.

Ranjit alias Kukku Punjabi (28), resident of Danavbaba in Garha and Raju alias Rajendra Mishra (50), a resident of Cherital, were shot dead in a firing incident by unidentified persons near Kumbhare Health Club in Cherital area in the night on January 4.

Earlier, police had arrested two accused including Sayyed Saddam alias Martial, Rohit Rathore and Himanshu Botham from Gwalior. SP M S Sikarwar informed that investigating the case, a total of six teams were constituted for search of two accused in Banaras, Balia, Jhansi, Gwalior and Rewa.
Learning about apprehension of two accused in Gwalior, Bhola and Anurag were trying to move to Delhi from Rewa. Acting promptly on a tip-off, police team comprising CSP, Kotwali, Hariom Sharma, CSP, Gorakhpur, Anjulata Patle, SHO of Kotwali, Praful Shrivastava, Inspector, Pratiksha Marco, Crime Branch, SI, Girish Tripathi, Omti police station’s Brijendra Sengar, Crime Branch, SI, Vishal Singh, Constables, Mahendra Patel, Sunil Pardhi, Rewa police’s SI, Vijay Singh, Constables, Krishnapal Singh, Ramdas Patel, Sushil Sharma, Prakash Mishra and Varun Tiwari started a search and arrested the accused at Rewa bus stand.
