Cong seeks attention of DGP on poor law & order

CONGRESS leaders under leadership of Leader of Opposition in Jabalpur Municipal Corporation Rajesh Sonkar, Tej Kumar Bhagat submitted memorandum on deteriorating law and order in the city to DGP Rishi Kumar Shukla during his visit on Wednesday.


In the memorandum, Congress workers alleged that common people living in the city are scared over deteriorating law and order in last few months. They also alleged that some police officials have good relation with miscreants. They also said as the SP has already accepted that illegal weapons from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and other states are being sold in the city.


Goons involved in brutal killing of Congress leader after killing him fled from the spot. With extensive efforts, they nabbed the miscreants. Congressmen said police does not take any action against person involved in illegal activities. Congress workers in the memorandum demanded to roll back decision of transfer of Katni SP Gaurav Tiwari. They alleged that transfer of honest police officer has been done allegedly under pressure of the State Government. People of Katni have come forward in support of the honest police officer. Shagufta Usmani, Madan Lariya, Amit Tiwari, Ejaz Ali and other congress leaders were present on the occasion.
