CM to inaugurate ‘Digi-Dhan Mela’ today in Raipur

To promote the digital payment system in Chhattisgarh, Government will be organising ‘Digi-Dhan Mela’ in Raipur from Monday, January 2. Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh will inaugurate the Mela at 3:30 pm.
Reviewing the preparation for the fair, Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand informed that prizes will be given on the digital payments. Even the Union Ministers will attend the fair. Similar fairs will also be held in Bhilai and Bilaspur from January 8 and 13.
Besides giving away awards, announcement for making the government office cashless will be made. Another scheme ‘Mor Khisa Digital Payment Gateway’ will also be kicked off
during the fair in Raipur. Against the set target to give of 1.6 crore Jan Dhan account holders RuPay Card, 80 cards have already been given. Remaining cards will be distributed by January 26. Other activities such as slogan, poster and jingle competitions will be held to promote digital payment system and winners of these competitions will be awarded with Rs 15,000 as first prize and Rs 10 as second.
Participants of Raipur and Bastar divisions can submit their entries before January 2, Durg January 9, Surguja and Bilaspur divisions before January 13 on the website www.chips.gov.in.
