Diamonds’ auction in Panna in January end

Diamond officer Ratnesh Dixit said that diamonds of 500 to 600 carats would be kept for auctioning in the end of the month

The diamond office of Panna is pondering to auction diamonds of 500 to 600 carats in the end of this month. Most probably, auction would be done on January 30. In this auction, diamond found by a labourer would also be kept for auction.


Talking to ‘The Hitavada’, diamond officer Ratnesh Dixit said that diamonds of 500 to 600 carats would be kept for auctioning in the end of the month. In this auction, diamond found by labourer Devidayal Verma would also be kept for auction. Devidayal had hit the diamond of more than 300 carat and it is of gem quality. Notably, Devidayal’s diamond was put in auction earlier also but it had not fetched the desired price. Henceforth it was decided that his diamond would be put in auction another time.


This time, Devidayal is hopeful of getting the good sum in lieu of diamond auction which would change his life in tatters for ever.


Sources said that January auction of Panna diamond office is always a big event as large number of diamonds are auctioned in the starting month of the year. The eyes of everyone are set on diamond auction, particularly, the diamond of Devidayal and the local people of Panna are curious to know that how much amount diamond of Devidayal would fetch.


But one thing is fixed that he is going to turn lakhpati very soon. Notably, Panna is known for its biggest diamond deposit and in entire India, it is famous for its high quality diamonds. Sources said that diamond office of Panna is doing the preparations for the diamond auction, which would see participants from all over the country. Mostly, businessmen come from metro cities of the country in the diamond auction of Panna.
