Man’s body found under mysterious circumstances

BODY of a middle-aged man was found under mysterious circumstances in a house at Chhatarpur village under jurisdiction of Panagar police station on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Shyamlal Kol (50), a resident of Chhatarpur village in Panagar. SHO of Panagar police station K P Yadav informed that a woman named Rajni Kol (27), resident of Chhatarpur village, informed that in the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, she was making a rangoli in front of her house on the occasion of New Year where a man named Ghanshyam Kol of the village arrived in a drunken stupor and started spoiling the rangoli. Meanwhile, her father named Shyamlal Kol came out of the house and took Ghanshyam to his house.
Thereafter, Ghanshyam’s younger brother named Rohit Kol came and informed that her father Shyamlal Kol was found unconscious in front of his house. Receiving the information, Rajhi Kol, her mother Sunita and her brother Rahul Kol reached the spot and found Shyamlal unconscious at verandah of the house of Ghanshyam Kol. They immediately called a local doctor Vijay Kol who declared him dead in primary check-up and found a grave wound on backside of his head. Learning about the incident, a police team reached the spot and started investigations. Police have sent the body for post-mortem after conducting panchnama at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital. Panagar police have registered a case, while further investigations are underway to ascertain the cause behind the man’s death.
