Namami Devi Narmade not only yatra but ‘Anushthan’: Akhileshwaranand Ji

“Namami Devi Narmade”-Seva Yatra started from 7th destination of village Bijouri of Bargi Assembly constituency and reached village Chargavan covering Jamuniya, Pathadham, Ghugri, Kanchanpuri villages on Sunday.
“Namami Devi Narmade”-Seva Yatra started from 7th destination of village Bijouri of Bargi Assembly constituency and reached village Chargavan covering Jamuniya, Pathadham, Ghugri, Kanchanpuri villages on Sunday. As many as 15-20,000 men and women performed pooja and kalash of Maa Narmada with traditional rituals. Tremendous enthusiasm was seen among the villagers to join this big campaign.
Swami Mahamandaleshwar Akhileshwaranand Ji, yatra in charge of Mandla and Jabalpur districts, explained the importance of yatra to the public. He said that Narmada Seva Yatra is not only a yatra but ‘Anushthan’. He threw light on the objectives of the yatra started from Amarkantak by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on December 11, 2016. Pious Maa Narmada is not only a medium of salvation, but it is lifeline of the State. It has given life, electricity, fruits, vegetables and pure potable water and what not.
Maa Narmada is a symbol of faith for crores of people of the State. Hence, it is our responsibility to keep Maa Narmada clean and pure. CM Chouhan intends to undertake fruits plantation in one kilometer radius on both the banks of the River Narmada. A grant of Rs 20,000 per hectare for 3 years will be provided to the farmers, who undertake plantation at their private land.
Swami Ji further mentioned that people should participate in this noble campaign with utmost devotion and dedication. As per the faith attached to Narmada river, perform Pooja Archana, Deep Daan and Bhandara but do not immerse or release waste substances in the incessant flow of Maa Narmada. Swami Ji told the villagers to construct toilet at their houses. He said that we have to stop release of sewage water in Maa Narmada.He further said that this yatra is not of Madhya Pradesh only, but it is the one and only yatra of the country and the world, which has been undertaken to conserve the river. Narmada is the only river in the country, where parikrama is performed by men and women with utmost faith and devotion. Each and every stone of Narmada ghat is like Bhagwan Shankar. This yatra has provided an opportunity to all the participants to get blessings like ‘Teerth Yatra’ from this yatra and to improve their lives.
During the yatra, name of village Patha Nala was named after Badhya Dham in the New Year. Pledge for de-addiction, sanitation, plantation, nature conservation, do not perform Bal Vivah, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao was administered by MLA Bargi constituency Pratibha Singh. Yatra in charge Chairman of Mandi, Neeraj Singh and Shiv Patel handed over yatra Flag and Maa Narmada Kalash to the Sarpanch of village Chargavan.
