Department of Higher Education has issued direction for conducting career fair in the college in the month of January. Due to lack of career guidance, students face various difficulties in shaping their future. At present, most of the college students would not know that which sector should be opted for developing their career. Which sector is giving progress and where they can give cent percent performance. In present scenario, it is very important that students should get proper guidance about their future career, so that, they reach the right place and would get the perfect job.

In order to provide complete information about career option, Swami Vivekanand Career Guidance Cell (SVCGC), is playing an important role in the life of students in the colleges. SVCGC was started by Department of Higher Education, with an objective to provide proper guidance about career to students and to conduct Career fair in the colleges. Where, various companies are invited in the fair and these companies conduct the interview sessions, where, students are recruited by various companies during their studies. Along with recruitment process, the companies also inform students about their future career, which sectors would prove beneficial for students. To follow this objective, various colleges of city are conducting the career fair, career programme, counselling session. Where, experts are invited to counsel students. Recently, Rani Durgavati University (RDU), conducted grand career fair in University campus. Where, number of multinational, national companies participated and informed about various career options and also recruited students. The important thing is that students do not have to wander to get a job in their choicest companies, while companies themselves approach the students and offer jobs with handsome salary. This is the plus point for college students, that they get job during their studies.

Dr. Arun Shukla, Divisional Coordinator, Career Guidance Cell said that the objective of career guidance cell is to provide basic information about career in the different sectors. Career Guidance Cell is also providing a platform to youngsters, where these youngsters could get information about various sectors and according to the guidance by experts, they can develop their career. According to the direction, the camps are being conducted in different colleges and students are being benefited under this programme.
