Thick fog envelopes city, chill adds to woes

CHILLY weather and thick fog has thrown life out of gear in Bhopal on Tuesday morning. After few hours of sunrise, fog disappeared but cold gave tough time to the people, made them shiver. When people woke up on Tuesday morning, they found city wrapped in thick fog and chilly weather. Cold was unbearable during morning hours. School going children faced hardships as they had to go to school by braving the bad weather conditions.Bhopal’s day temperature settled at 22. 3 degree Celsius and it was 2 degree below normal level. Minimum temperature was however at 10.2 degree Celsius and it was at normal level.


As bad weather conditions prevailed in city, people had tough time to deal with inclement weather. During morning hours, maximum people preferred to remain in homes as much as possible because intermittent cold was giving tough time outside. Those who have to leave home during early morning hours due to myriad reasons have to face the blues of cold. At some places, people were seen sitting around bonfire, warming their hands.


In last twenty-four hours, weather remained dry in State. Khajuraho, Naugaon, Tikamgarh, Damoh and Sheopur districts witnessed coldest day in State on Tuesday. Minimum temperatures were high in districts of Shahdol division and substantially high in Gwalior division. Weather Department forecast said that, fog is likely in some places of Sagar, Rewa, Chambal and Gwalior divisions and Shajapur, Rajgarh, Bhopal, Vidisha, Ujjain, Aagar, Katni, Umaria and Shahdol districts.As far as Bhopal forecast is concerned then it is going to witness clear sky and fog during early morning hours. Winds will blow at the speed of 10 km per hour. Maximum temperature will be around 10 degree Celsius respectively.
