JMC’s Anayakranti Team given task to clear prolonged parking on Govt land

PEOPLE habitual of parking their vehicles on road for a long time must refrain from doing so as JMC’s Anayakranti Team has been assigned with the responsibility to clear up Government land and has started cracking whip against people who reportedly use road to park their vehicles. On Wednesday, the team lifted several vehicles parked on the road and this action has triggered panic among people. According to information from JMC’s Anayakranti team, directives of Municipal Commissioner Vedprakash to act against illegally
parked vehicles on roads were followed on Wednesday. The team took action in areas including MLB School to Stadium at Golbazaar, Yadav Colony, Madanmahal and around Civil Lines area. Near stadium area, a four-wheeler was parked haphazardly and another commercial vehicle used for concrete mixture was parked near Maharashtra School road were lifted by JMC crane and seized by the team. The team in the course of action seized around six vehicles mostly cars and other four-wheelers. Sources informed that people involved in building construction work park their mixture machines on the main road for a long span hence hindering traffic movement. Vehicles thus parked for a long time are considered a major obstruction in smooth traffic flow as these vehicles cover lots of space causing traffic congestion.

JMC has issued a warning to people habitual of parking vehicles on road as the drive to penalise vehicles parked on Government land will continue in regular intervals. Meanwhile, action initiated by JMC’s Anayakranti team to crack whip against people who park vehicles on Government land has been widely appreciated and at the same time has caused panic. The vehicles lifted by the team on Wednesday have been stationed at JMC headquarters. The vehicle owners have been issued challan and have been asked to deposit the penalty to claim their vehicles back.
