Shashin Samman 2017 inaugurated

Two-day-long state-level Shashin Samman 2017, was inaugurated in grand manner at Art Gallery, Rani Durgavati Museum, on Wednesday.
The felicitation ceremony is organized under the banner of Shashin Organising Committee.
This year, the photographer award has presented to noted photographer, Praveen Ravat from Indore.


Chief guest on the occasion was photographer from Dhanbad, Mukesh Shrivastava, while, senior writer and Editor of Pahal, Gyanranjan and Commissioner, Jabalpur Municipal Co-operation (JMC), Ved Prakash presided over the function. At the outset, guests inaugurated the program by garlanded the portrait of Goddess Saraswati. Speaking on the occasion, Mukesh Shrivastava said that Shashin Yadav is always my ideal and inspiration. I always follow him. His collection photographer was just awesome. He also appreciated the program that is organised in memory of Shashin Yadav. Gyanranjan said that this program is recongnised for its efforts and grace. Every year, this organising committee conducted the program and felicitated to noted photographers.


Commissioner, Ved Prakash said that photography is a unique art. He said that due to modern technology and availability of camera the identification of best photographer is being decrease. He said that through this award ceremony, we could find out best photographer and these photographers fulfilling all the parameters of best photographer.


Thereafter, the felicitation ceremony was held in gracious manner. Guests felicitated to Praveen Ravat with Shashin Samman 2017, by felicitating cash amount Rs. 11, 000, shawl, shreephal, and momentous.Senior artists, eminent of city were present in the program. The programme was convened by Member of organising committee, Mukul Yadav.


Along with felicitation ceremony, the photo exhibition by Praveen Ravat has also displayed in the gallery. Participants from Adhya Group gave outstanding performance of classical dance under guidance of Gitika Jaiswal.
