CM promotes development agenda during Narkhed, Kalmeshwar mpl poll campaign

Promising to bring positive change in the lives of rural folks if Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is elected to power in municipal councils, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, while addressing campaign meetings at Narkhed and Kalmeshwar, also unveiled development agenda. He said, as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urban and rural divide is going to bridged. For poor living in rural parts, he said, the Government will provide them houses under Prime Minister Awas Yojana.
About 80 per cent of India lives in villages but now due to economic needs, villagers are forced to migrate to cities. Over last 70 years, successive Governmentd failed to provide basic needs to rural masses but now with ascent of Modi Government, the scene is undergoing transformation. Health delivery system has improved in villages through Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, treatment of municipal sewage, generation of power through municipal waste etc. Now Municipal Councils can earn income by installing sewage water treatment plant and selling the treated water. For Narkhed a project is being considered on river Madar at cost of Rs 75 crore, he added.

At Kalmeshwar, Chief Minister said, BJP will introduce 24x7 drinking water project for the town if elected to the municipal council. The government will not let funds fall short for planned development of Kalmeshwar which is fast getting urbanised.
Dr Vikas Mahatme, Member of Parliament, Ashok Mankar, ex-MLA, Ramesh Mankar, ex-ZP President, local BJP leaders were also present.
