Grand shobhayatra marks 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh

City, on Thursday, witnessed a grand shobhayatra to mark 350th Birth Anniversary of Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Maharaj. The procession organised by Shri Kalgidhar Satsang Mandal was started at 1.00 pm from Mandal Hall at Indira Gandhi Colony in Jaripatka.
The procession consisted of impressive floats with colorfully decorated Beed of Aad Shri Guru Granth Saheb on an attractive chariot at the forefront, followed by floats of Shri Guru Nanak Devji, Shri Guru Gobind Singh, Shri Guru Ramdas, Shri Guru Arjan Dev, Shri Guru Harraisaheb, Shri Guru Harkrishan Dev and Shri Guru Teg Bahadur. The floats were followed by various Ragis and devotees chanting ‘Gurbani’.
The procession was started after Pooja Archana being performed by the guests and devotees. Convenor Adv Madhavdas Mamtani sought permission from Aad Shri Guru Granth Sahib to start procession by making ardas.
Shobhayatra passed through Sindhu Nagar Society, Dayanand Park Square, Kukreja Nagar, Hudco colony, Ahuja Nagar, Bhim Chowk, Indora Road, Mahatma Gandhi School and main streets of Jaripatka and culminated at Mandal premises.
Prominent among those present on this occasion included Saint Yudhishtarlal of Pujya Shadani Darbar, Raipur; Corporators Suresh Jagyasi, Prakash Totwani, Gautam Patil; Dilip Gaur, Virendra Kukreja, Jaiprakash Gupta, Atul Kotecha, MLA Dr Milind Mane, Rajendra Purohit, Babbi Bawa and others.
With the procession, seven days Path Sahib and Ichha Purak Prathna- Prabhu Simran was concluded with Bhog Sahib, Shabad Kirtan, Pravachan, Ardas were made to Almighty for removal of sorrows/ difficulties and attainment of health, wealth and peace in the entire world and distribution of Prasad.
Adv. Madhavdas Mamtani gave the message of Shri Guru Gobind Singhji narrated in Dasam Granth. Hindu, Muslim, Shia, Sunni, Boudh, Christian etc. belonging to different religion were all one human beings who had common eyes/ nose/ ears/ face etc. and the duty of all human beings stated in all religious books has to do all good acts, be liable to the nation, love and respect all, and live in harmony with each other.
