The suspect used to lure unemployed youths by promising them job in Police Department

Gunj police on Thursday arrested a person for allegedly duping four youths to the tune of Rs 16.20 lakh on the pretext of providing them job in Police Department. According to police, the accused used to lure unemployed youths by promising them job in police department.
The accused posing himself as police constable posted at Police Head Quarter allegedly demanded Rs 4 lakh from each candidate. He had allegedly collected Rs 16.20 lakh from the gullible youths last month for government jobs in Police Department.


He was found absconding after assuring them job within a week of offering fake employment letter.


One Jitendra Singh (24) of Basdila in Uttar Pradesh and three others trapped in Vishwa Prakash Dubey’s net had filed a complaint at Gunj Police station regarding the fraud.


After investigations, police found that the accused had cheated the job seekers. Police trapped him from Gupta Guest House in Narmadapara. As per information presently the suspect Vishwa Prakash Dubey was staying in Aditya Nagar Durg and was domicile of Shuklakapura in Uttar Pradesh. He was booked under Section-420 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) for cheating Jitendra Singh and three others.
