Various events to mark holy month of Gausul-e-Azam

Chhattisgarh Gausul Azam Committee is going to organise Gausul Azam Conference on January 9, Monday and Julus-e-Gaushiya will be taken out on Tuesday January 10 to mark the holy month of Gausul-e-Azam.

Iqbal Sharif, Chief organiser of Chhattisgarh Gausul Azam Committee, Haji Badruddin Khokhar, President of Committee and Mohammed Hasrat Khan, General Secretary of Committee informed during a press conference that holy month of Gyarhvi Sharif is being observed in the name of Hazrat Sheikh Mohiyuddin Abdul Quadir Zilani Gaus Pak of Bagdad Sharif. To celebrate the birth anniversary of Gaus Pak. As per programme a Conference will take place in which Urdu writers from all over country will participate and review of level of education among the Muslim community in state will be done. They stated that the conference will take place at Mahboobiya Chowk at 9 pm. eminent scholars from Kolkata, Kanpur, Panipat, Patna and other parts of country will participate.

On Tuesday January 10 Julus-e-Gausiya will be taken out at 3 pm from Mahboobiya Chowk. The religious processions from all over city will assemble at Mahboobiya Chowk and will pass through Baijnath, Shastri Bazaar, Auliya Chowk, DK Chowk, Shahid Smarak Bhawan and Dargarh of Handi Wale Baba at Maudhapara, Jai Stambh Chowk, Malviya Road, City Kotwali Chowk , Chhotapara and conclude at Sirat Maidan. Flag hoisting ceremony will be performed and Namaj-e-Magrib will be offered followed by Aam Langar. Committee members have coordinated with the committee members of various localities so that the procession is taken out as per schedule time.

To mark the occasion Committee is also going to give away scholarship of Rs 5,000 cash to one of the scholar of Urdu. An essay writing competition will also be organised in which students of school can participate. Cash Prizes of Rs 2,500, 1,100 and 500 will be given for writing the best essay based on Gaus Pak with 250 words in Hindi or Urdu to be submitted by January 9, they added.
