NID DAT exam 2017 held in city

On Sunday, National Institute of Design – Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT) 2017 was held in the State capital at various centres including Sarojini Naidu Government Girls School, Kamla Nehru School etc.
The examination was conducted in the morning shift from 10 am to 1 pm. Examinees were asked to come at the determined examination centres by 9 am. According to the Sarojini Naidu Girl’s School Principal H S Tomar, 411 aspirants applied for the examination among which only 394 were present and 17 remain absent.
Examination was held in Part A and Part B comprised of 70 per cent MCQs and 10 per cent Subjective. Part A included questions of aptitude, reasoning and logical questions along with communication skills. The part B consisted of four questions based on creativity, drawing skills etc.
According to the examinees, the questions were really tricky based on logical reasoning and utmost on creativity.
NID DAT Prelims is the first entrance test, NID DAT Mains will be held in March or April 2017 and will comprise of Studio Test, Personal Interview, drawing, sketching, model making, group discussions, presentations etc.
NID offers admissions to Bachelors in Product Design, Furniture Design, Ceramic and Glass Design, Graphic Design, Animation Film Design, Film and Video Communication, Exhibition Design and Textile Design programmes. Candidates shortlisted for mains exam, will be issued separate admit card after the announcement of prelims results of NID DAT 2017. The results of Design Aptitude Test will be announced on February 28, 2017. The final merit list of NID DAT 2017 will be announced on May 2, 2017.
