Chief Minister ayes Rs 105.65 cr bonus to farmers in district

“Chhattisgarh is celebrating Bonus Tihar (festival) from October 3. Today it is turn of Durg district. Like festival of light Diwali it is Diwali for drought affected farmers. We know the agony of farmers. On apprising Prime Minister Modi about the plight of farmers he told me to sanction Rs 2100 crore and announce bonus. Durg district has development milestones: Technical University (CSVTU), Veterinary and animal husbandry University (Kamdhenu), IIT.

We give Rs 1700 crore subsidy for electricity and by April 18 every will be electrified. During Congress regime loan interest was 14-15%, paddy purchasing was 7 lakh metric ton while in Bharatiya Janata Party rule interest is 4 to 6%, paddy purchasing is 70 lakh metric ton without any hassle for quality, out of 36 lakh Ujjwala gas connections 14 lakh have been distributed. Ladies are provided gas cylinder and burners for only Rs 200. 11 lakh houses will be constructed under Prime Minister Awas Yojna.

Under Mukhyamantri Swasthya Beema Yojna now family can avail treatment of Rs 50,000 in a year. There are schemes for labourers and their children. We are taking care of every section of society. Bonus for 2017-18 will be distributed before Diwali for pressing a button.
People also have to press a button in 2018”, expressed Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh in mega event of Bonus Tihar and Panch/Sarpanch Meet today at New Ganj Mandi premises.

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh pressed a button on laptop and bonus of Rs 105.65 crore was transferred to accounts of 65,900 farmers in the district in mega event of Bonus Tihar. It was good motivation for digitalisation.
Dr Raman Singh performed bhoomipujan for development works worth Rs 129.72 crore and then dedicated 35 development works worth 34 crore. He inspected the stalls put up by various government departments depicting public welfare schemes. Dr Singh and other guests lit the lamp to inaugurate Bonus Tihar. In-charge Minister Durg Rajesh Munat presided over the function.

The distinguished guests on the dais included Minister Higher Education Prem Prakash Pandey, Minister Women and Child Development Smt. Ramsheela Sahu, Parliamentary Secretary Labhchand Bafna, National BJP General Secretary Ms Saroj Pandey, former Minister Hemchand Yadav, MLAs Vidyaratan Bhasin, Awadesh Chandel, Sawalaram Dahre, Ex-MLA Jageshwar Sahu, Chairman Deepak Tarachand Sahu, Jila Panchayat President Maya Belchandan, Mayor Bhilai Devendra Yadav, Mayor Durg Smt. Chandrika Chandrakar, Mayor Bhilai-3 Chandrakanta Mandle, Jamul Municipal Council President Sarojani Chandrakar, Preetpal Belchandan, Jila Panchayat Vice President Thanu Ram Sahu, Collector Umesh Kumar Agrawal, CEO RK Khute, Santoshi Krishna Deshmukh, Jaisingh Rajput Harsha Lokmani Chandrakar, Durg Municipal Corporation Commissioner SK Sundarani. 4 thousand 6 hundred beneficiaries were distributed materials and cheque worth Rs. 15 crore 31 lakh. Dedicated works include Sahdev and Tirga anicuts, 100 bed hostel for ITI Bhilai and building for Prayas Residential School, construction of 8 rooms worth Rs. 1 crore 40 lakh, in Government College Utai, 516 houses under PAY worth Rs 24.49 crore, building of Prayas Residential School Durg worth 17.26 crore, Auditorium in divisional headquarters worth Rs 13.45 crore, residential college in Dhanora (Durg) worth Rs 10.06 crore.

4 thousand 600 beneficiaries were distributed cheque and materials worth Rs 15 crore: 1000 Ujjwala gas connection, 277 cycles and cheques worth Rs. 72 lakh by Labour Department under Rajmata Vijayaraje Sindhia daughter marriage scheme, Bhagini Sahayata Yojna and scholarship, 460 mini kits, 245 sprayers and 16 diesel pumps by Agriculture department.

Loans to women, under Antyodaya, Swarojgar yojna, 5 national calamity victims assistance of Rs 20 lakh, subsidy to farmers under Saur Sujala Yojna, loan of Rs 1 crore 36 lakh to 5 beneficiaries under Stand Up India, Mudra Loan of Rs 9.86 core to 516 beneficiaries and loan of Rs 32 lakh under National Livelihood Mission.

Minister Prem Prakash Pandey said Chief Minister had announced Bonus after 2013 election and now distributing it. Properous farmers mean prosperous state Ms Saroj Pandey congratulated Mahila Morcha and Kisan Morcha for unique welcome Minister SmtRamsheela Sahu also addressed gathering.
