Purohit meets Modi

CONTINUING with his hectic schedule on Tuesday, Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his 7, Lok Kalyan Marg residence in the morning. Governor Purohit also met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in the evening .

The Governor presented a memento, the replica of Thanjavur Brahadeeshwarar Temple to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Both visits by Tamil Nadu Governor were part of his courtesy calls after assuming charge as Governor of Tamil Nadu about a week ago. Purohit is in the National Capital to attend a three-day Governors’ Conference organised at Rashtrapati Bhavan by President of India Ram Nath Kovind.

It may be recalled that President shall not be attending the first day of the scheduled conference onWednesday and the day would be utilised by all the State Governors to finalise the agenda to be taken up for the next two days of the conference, also to be attended by the President. Governor Purohit has already made courtesy visits to President Kovind and VicePresident M Venkaiah Naidu a day ago.
