Our Correspondent,

SAMUDRAPUR,

As many as 50 passengers travelling in an ST bus heading towards Chimur from Hinganghat had a narrow escape when the bus collided head on with the State Transport Bus near Parde Godown on Nandori Road on Wednesday. Though the tractor turned turtle, the presence of mind of the driver saved him.

The State Transport bus (MH-40/N-8629) was moving from Hinganghat to Chimur on Tuesday. When it reached near the said place on Nandori road, the driver of the bus lost his control at steering. Due to the impact, one of the front tyres of the bus bursted and the bus was diverted from the road. The bus dashed the tractor (MH-32/P-5588) which was came from the opposite direction.

The tractor turned turtle and the timely jump of the driver of tractor Mangesh Subhash Wanjare(22) from the tractor saved him. He sustained injuries on his leg. Meanwhile, the ST bus hit the well and thus the speed of the bus was reduced. Nearly 50 passengers escaped unhurt.
