The passengers and railway officers heaved sigh of relief after it was found that there was no bomb or any explosive in the coach as claimed by the unidentified caller. Railway Public Relations Officer (PRO) I A Siddique said, “RPF informed us about the call received at control room claiming explosive in B-5 coach.

Concerned station master pressed the panic button and called all possible officials, including GRP, RPF, District Collector and civil police.” He further said IT Cell and security agency are tracking the call and trying to trace the person. He further added that a few people have been also arrested for questioning in the case.

It is the fourth such case of explosive in train or railway station. Recently, on October 4, security was tightened at Bhopal, Hoshangabad and Narsinghpur stations after unidentified caller threatened to blow up the three railway stations. Earlier on May 26 and July 16, some person called Dial 100 and threatened to blow up the Bhopal and Habibganj stations. However, after searching for hours, Bomb Detection team, Disposal Squad personnel and sniffer dogs did not find out anything.
