WCR starts tourism awareness drive in Jabalpur, Bhopal, Kota divisions

THE Tourism Ministry has started a move named ‘Paryatan Parv’ to draw people’s attention towards tourism with an aim to encourage tourism. The special nationwide drive started from October 5 amd will conclude on October 20.

Following directives in this regard, West Central Railway (WCR) has started a special tourism awareness drive in three divisional headquarters including Jabalpur, Bhopal and Kota divisions. Under the special move, stations close to a tourism spot information counters have been opened. During the special drive, staffers of the information counters will provide information to passengers about various places of tourism pertaining to distance of tourist spot from the railway station, transportation facilities to reach the tourist spot and other information sought by passengers. Besides this, the station having tourist potential announcements are being made for benefit of passengers to get easy access to the spot.

Reportedly, under the domain of WCR across Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan there are several tourist spots and information being provided to passengers will prove helpful. Along with Paryatan Parv which is under way, special emphasis is being given on cleanliness in refreshment stalls at railway stations.

Apparently, railways has started efforts along with the Government to make India a tourist-friendly country. Passengers are being benefited with the special move and are showing keen interest for information being provided by information centres operational at three divisional headquarters of WCR under the special move.
