Business Bureau,

Expressing satisfaction over the on-going project of laying two additional rail tracks at Itwari railway station, local traders said that it would immensely benefit all the commercial activities in the area. The traders also believed that the upcoming facility would change the face of the station.

Recently while Sunil Singh Soin, General Manager of SERC visited the station to review progress of the project, Pratap Motwani, Member of the Zonal User Consultative Committee (ZRUCC) of South East Central Railway (SERC) and a well-known trader, gave a floral bouquet to the visiting senior railway officer and urged him to complete the project as early as possible.

“We believe that loading and unloading of goods here at Itwari would increase manifold. It was a long pending demand of the traders which will be a reality very soon,” Motwani said while felicitating Soin. As of now Itwari is a four-line station and thus traders face hardship while doing movement of goods. Motwani said that the additional lines will be the game changer for the station.

“It will be technically feasible for the railway authorities to give stoppage to many important trains passing through the station which will further give relief to the traders and other passengers. Moreover, the new facilities would help authorities to reduce flow of passengers at Nagpur railway station. They may initiate new trains from the Itwari railway station,” he added.

Apart from the new tracks, the railways is also building a coaching complex at Itwari that could provide enough space for maintenance and halting of rakes.
