Moharram: 300 Savaris, 50 Tazias taken out

About 300 Savaris and 50 Tazias participated in the mourning procession taken out from the different parts of the city with full religious fervour on the 10th day of Moharram on Sunday.
The processions on 'Ashoora' or the 10th day of the Islamic month of Moharram are taken out from various places in city. 'Ashoora' marks the martyrdom of Imam Hussain - grandson of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) at Karbala nearly 1,400 years ago.

Colorful lighting was been done on the path of the Mourning Procession march. Azad Hind Langer Committee and other social organisation organised community lunch along the path from where the savaris procession marching towards the Ranital Pond as per the traditional routes to the Karbala for immersion in Ponds, final destination.

Tabluex depicting the Karbala presented by the Husani Ekta Committee, and large number of tabulex depicting various shades was the main attraction of the program. Colorful lighting, devotional songs are attracting large number of commuters.

People believe that the Savari, sometimes considered an image of god, blesses them especially with good health and conception. Community Lunch (Langar) has been organised in different parts of the city.

Mufti-E-Azam, Madhya Pradesh, Maulana Mahmood Ahmed Kadri lead the procession, blessed the people on the occasion. He also congratulate the people for maintaining communal Harmony in the festival of Moharram the festival of commemoration of the martyrdom of Prophet Mohammed's grandson, Imam Hussain along with his family and followers scarifies for the humanity.

He said Muslim around the globe is celebrating the Moharram since last fourteen hundred years and Insha Allaha would be celebrated in future. Jabalpur is place of communal harmony, where the Muslims and Hindu celebrate their festival full fervor.
