Demonstrating ‘Adhyapaks’ arrested, kept in open jail

Police prevented agitating ‘Adhyapaks’ from garlanding the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at old Vidhan Sabha and arrested them on Monday. After arrest, demonstrating ‘Adhyapaks’ were taken to Shahjehanabad Park which was subsequently declared as open jail. It was late in evening hours that ‘Adhyapaks’ were released.

Talking to ‘The Hitavada’ Adhyapak Sangh’s committee member HN Narwariya told that government had literally failed to fulfill the demands of ‘Adhyapak’ cadre even after making promises in repeated manner. ‘Adhyapaks’ are deprived of full benefit of 6th Pay Commission.

He added that in support of various demands including service conditions, thousands of ‘Adhyapaks’ marched to Bhopal from Bhojpur on Sunday and on Monday, they wanted to garland the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. However, police prevented them from garlanding the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and arrested them. Informing that now, ‘Adhyapaks’ are planning to demonstrate in any other district of MP if they are not being allowed to demonstrate in Bhopal. He said that now agitating ‘Adhyapaks’ will also launch ‘Pol Khol Abhiyan’ against the State Government.
