Gole Bazar Art Festival begins

TO bring various art form performers of national and international repute on one platform, along with city artists and budding talents, the Gole Bazar Art Festival opened on Monday on Gandhi Jayanti at Gole Bazar.

The Jabalpur Art Festival began with opening of workshop at the hands of Mayor, Dr Swati Godbole in presence of Vice Chancellor of Rani Durgawati University along with other dignitaries, including Sunaina Pateria and Congress leader, Nityaniranjan Khamparia along with members of organising committee, including Ruchi Mohan, Parul Verma, Rohani Verma, Sunaina Pateria, Madhushree Agrawal and Magician S K Nigam, the Shaheed Smarak Cultural Cell coordinator.

Dr Swati Godbole, addressing the opening ceremony, appreciated the initiative taken by the organisers of Art Festival popular as Gole Bazar Art Festival. She welcomed the guest artists from different parts of the country and women entrepreneurs and artists from different centres of Madhya Pradesh for bringing the range of products with ethnic richness of Madhya Pradesh.

During the week-long event, noted artists from different parts of the country would showcase their best.
The seven-day event would be a platform for artists, women entrepreneurs and people from folk arts streams of handicraft, handloom, music and dance as well as wide range of mouth watering food items would be attraction this year.
Parul Verma informed that, on Tuesday, the workshop by the national repute artists and mentors opened in which they would impart new things to budding talents, including 3-D and Digital Painting, Organic Art.

A noted artist from Kolkata, Namrata Manot would take workshop on Organic Tie and Dyes of clothes. Another team of artists from Kolkata, Atin Mitra and Anindaya Joshi would teach techniques of Digital Painting. Noted artist Harish Jog would impart techniques of Living Art of Bonsai.
