Week-long Gorewada Forest Fest begins with ‘Nature Walk’

Amid greenery, abundant wildlife and enthusiastic public, the Gorewada Forest Festival, a week-long wildlife week celebration, began on Sunday. To mark the occasion a ‘Nature Walk’, was held at the site which saw participation of over 250 people. Organised by the Forest Development Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd in association with Rotary Club of Nagpur, the festival received good response on Sunday and Monday.
Both ‘Nature Walk’ and ‘Night Safari’ on the first day were jam-packed, and the second day’s Cyclothon too saw many cycling enthusiasts and professional cyclists pedaling down the greenest alleys of Gorewada together for 50 kms and 10 kms spot.

MLA Sudhakar Rao Deshmukh, Anees Ahmed, former Maharashtra Minister, U K Agrawal, Managing Director of FDCM, J P Tripathi, Regional Manager FDCM, Nandkishore Kale, DM, FDCM, and Rtn. Rina Sinha (President of Rotary Club of Nagpur), and others were present.Open for the people of all age groups, various competitions, activities, and prizes have been organised.
