Awareness rally, events mark World Heart Day

CARE Hospital, PEACE Foundation and Indian Dietetic Association jointly celebrated World Heart Day. They took out the rally –walk for life, presented a skit and organized a public awareness lecture based on how life-style modification can prevent heart problems. This year’s theme was ‘I am sharing the power’.

The rally started from CARE Hospital at 8 am and passed through the streets of Ramdaspeth through Dagadi park, Central Bazar road, Panchsheel square and back to CARE Hospital. Over two hundred people comprising members of PEACE Foundation, Indian Dietetic Association and staff of CARE Hospital participated in the activities.
The skit was presented by CARE hospital staff comprising Satish Tata, Manisha Tata. Chittaranjan Yadav, Prachi Sawaikar, Preet Badhiy, Madhavi Paul and Rupali Sherekar. A ‘Golu’styled song specially composed for World Heart Day was sung by Sakshi Dhaktod and members of Indian Dietetic Association on this occasion.

A beautiful presentation on life style modification was
given by Dr Rita Bhargava, Chief Dietician, CARE Hospital and satisfied the curiosities of the public.

The program was co-ordinated by Vaishali Magar under supervision of Ravi Mannadiar and assisted by Yashwant Singh, Swapnil Ambhore and others. The rally was conducted under the leadership of Dr Varun Bhargava, Managing Director of CARE Hospital. Dr Vipul Seta, Dr Kamal Bhutada, Dr Meraj Shaikh, Dr Rita Bhargava, Arun Bhargava and other consultants of CARE Hospital, Ashok Goyal, Sharad Paliwal, Manisha Thakar, Amit Anand, Viru Anand, Dr Yagnesh Thakar, office-bearers of PEACE Foundation and Kavita Bakshi and Vineeta Mehta, from Indian Dietetic Association were present.
