Rs 13.77 cr sanctioned for transforming 25 Govt buildings, railway station Divyangjan-friendly

Department of Social Welfare, Chhattisgarh, on Wednesday sanctioned Rs 13.77 crore for transforming 25 government buildings and railway station Divyangjan-friendly. Social Welfare Department Secretary Sonmoni Borah reviewed the Sugam Bharat Yojana introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and gave necessary instructions to the officials.


Borah said in the meeting that the ramps, lifts and toilets should be designed in such a manner that they provide Divyangjan with hurdle-free movement facility. In the first phase, 11 government buildings and 14 education institutions of the State Government have been included, where Divyangjan-friendly facilities will be developed.


Also present in the meeting were Social Welfare director Sanjay Alang, district collector O P Choudhary, RMC Commissioner Rajat Bansal and others.
