Mayor reviews preparations of upcoming Urs at Tajabad

Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) should provide all the facilities to the devotees coming for Urs at Tajabad Dargah. Mayor Nanda Jichkar conducted a meeting of officers to review the preparation of the Urs ensuing from October 14. Lakhs of devotees from all over the country are expected to visit at Tajabad.

The civic body is installing 8 PVC tanks having 2,000 litre water storage capacity for the devotees. The NMC will supply water through 60 tankers for the Urs. The Health Department will provide 50 temporary toilets for the devotees. The mobile toilet will be also deployed for them. The sanitation workers will work 24 hours in three shifts to maintain cleanliness in the premises. The Electricity Department will provide 5 generator sets and 180 halogens for the premises. The Health Department will also arrange two ambulances and the dedicated team of the doctors for the devotees. The devotees will get medicines free of cost.

Deputy Mayor Deepraj Pardikar, Additional Commissioner Ravindra Kumbhare, Divya Dhurde, Health Committee Chairman Manoj Chafle, Sports Committee Chairman Nagesh Sahare, former leader of opposition Sanjay Mahakalkar, Pintu Zalke, Snehal Bihare, Reeta Mule, Executive Engineers Sanjay Jaiswal, Sanjay Gaikwad, Health Officer Dr Anil Chivhane, Dr Vijay Joshi, Divisional Officer Rohidas Rathod, Fire Officer BP Chandankhede, and Administrator of Tajbagh G M Kubde were present.

Mayor directed administration to remove the encroachments from Dighori Naka to Sakkardara Square, and Bhande Plot premises. She suggested for the effective bus services for Tajabad from Dighori, Morbhavan, Railway Station, Kamptee, Gandhibag, and other places.
