Grand students’ rally marks conclusion of Wildlife Week

Around 400 teachers and school students participated in a rally beginning from Maharajbag on Saturday morning to mark concluding of Wildlife Week. Ashok Giripunje, Conservator of Forest, Social Forestry, Nagpur, flagged off the rally in which forest officers and employees also participated. The rally passed through Sitabuldi area spreading the message on importance of wild animals in maintaining eco-system.

Teachers and students from Madan Gopal Agrawal High School, Sitabuldi, New Apostolic High School, Kukde Layout, St Ursula High School, Sule High School, Zilla Parishad High School, Railwaymen’s High School and others took active part in the rally. Mohan Dhere, Deputy Director, Social Forestry, Subhash Dongre, Information & Publicity Officer, and Ramesh Sukhdeve, retd Divisional Forest Officer, were prominently present. Srika Vairagade, Surendra Kurve, Manisha Dhoke, Rajesh Meshram, Prabuddha Ganvir, Gajanan Rathod, Rakesh Bhute and teachers from eco-club schools extended active cooperation to the event.
