Three-day Inter-District Youth Festival ends

The three-day Inter-District (University-level) Youth Festival 2017 concluded with a bang at Pt Kunjilal Dubey auditorium of Rani Durgavati University on Saturday.
The Youth Festival fulfilled its objective to provide a grand-level exposure to the youth for the expression and fulfillment of their cultural talents and aspirations. Students from eight different districts of Jabalpur division arrived and showcased their talents and mesmerized the audience with the intensity of different arts.


The concluding ceremony was graced by MLA, Cantonment, Ashok Rohani as chief guest, while Vice Chancellor, Prof Kapildev Mishra presided over it. Registrar, Dr B Bharti specially attended the ceremony.


Addressing the ceremony, MLA, Ashok Rohani congratulated the students for their achievements and also extended gratitude for their patient co-operation. Vice Chancellor, Prof Mishra assured the students to upgrade the services for next year to avoid any untoward incident, which creates inconvenience for students. It may be mentioned that the university made elaborate arrangements for successful organisation of the prestigious festival. To compete at the district-level, the young talents performed their best to get themselves medals and awards. To conduct these competitions, 23 in all disciplines, the university deployed a team to manage the competitions, to help in logistic arrangements for smooth conduct of competitions. The festival focussed on cultural aspects and a number of other programmes covering a wide variety of activities, which not only reflect the spirit of friendship.


Dindori district has been given the trophy for best performance in the cultural rally.
