Married woman lodges rape case

A 27-year-old newly married woman lodged a complaint with Nishatpura police station against her elder sister’s brother-in-law for blackmailing and raping her from the time she was unmarried. The accused was forcing victim to continue physical relationship with him even after her marriage.

According to SHO of Nishatpura Shivanarayan Mukhati, the victim woman hails from Kainchi Cholla area. Around one year ago, she got married and at present, living with her husband and in-laws at Brij Vihar Colony, Berasia Road in Nishatpura. In her complaint, she stated police that her elder sister got married three years ago in Dhamarra village in Gunga.

Her elder sister’s brother-in-law Rakesh alias Banti often used to visit her home. The accused and victim developed love affair and Rakesh raped her several times for two years at his elder brother’s home located in Ratan Colony on pretext of getting married with her.

However, one year ago, when the victim got married to other person, then also, the accused continued to rape her by blackmailing the victim threatening to show her intimate pictures with him to her husband and in-laws. Fed up of his atrocity, the victim reported the matter with Nishatpura police.

Based on her complaint, the accused was booked on charges of rape and blackmailing and later, he was arrested by the police.
