Mayor dedicates compost plant in Gwarighat

Mayor Dr Swati Godbole dedicated to public the compost plant to manage organic waste like vegetable residue, waste flowers and other such things in Gwarighat.
It may be noted that the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) is carrying out special cleanliness drive under Swachhta Survekshan 2018.

It is keeping the city clean with the support of citizens. Likewise, to ensure proper management of waste generated at vegetable markets, flower markets, Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) is establishing plants to prepare manure from organic waste.
Accordingly, the civic body has established a plant at Gwarighat Mandi. Mayor Dr Godbole along with public representatives inaugurated the plant.

Speaking on the occasion she said now the riverbanks, vegetable market, flower market in Gwarighat area would remain clean. She said the waste generated at these places would be used to make manure.
She informed that the Compost Plant, established at Gwarighat Mandi could make manure from 400 kilogrammes waste. She on the occasion appealed residents, especially shopkeepers to avoid creating uncleanliness in the area and help Municipal Corporation in keeping the city clean. She said the civic body is making untiring efforts to maintain proper cleanliness in the city.

It is tirelessly conducting special cleanliness drive in all 79 wards of the city. Entire health department is making high efforts to aware people towards cleanliness and take their help in keeping the city clean.

Amongst those also present on the occasion were Mayor-in-Council member Kamlesh Agrawal, Shriram Shukla, Naveen Richharia, Indrajeet Kaur, Veena Jain, Municipal Commissioner, Vedprakash, Health Officer, G S Chandel, Assistant Health Officer, K K Dubey, Chief Health Inspector, Anil Bari, Health Inspectors, Assistant Health Inspectors and others.
