Over 1,223 people benefit in Aadhaar redressal camp

A mega Aadhaar registration and error correction camp was organied at Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) headquarters, on Sunday. As many as 1,223 people took benefit of the camp which was started at 11 am and continued till late in the evening.


As per the information, 175 people got registered for Aadhaar while 867 people got corrected mistakes in their Aadhaar card. Similarly, 88 children were registered for Aadhaar while 93 people were provided with Aadhaar card download.


District Management of E-governance Committee, Chitranshu Tripathi informed that as per the direction of Collector Mahesh Chandra Choudhary and with due support of Jabalpur Municipal Corporation, Aadhaar registration of a number of people right from a two-month child to an elderly woman of 80 years was done during the camp.


He informed that as many as 15 Aadhaar vendors were deployed at the camp for Aadhaar registration, correction and redressal of Aadhaar card errors. He said amongst the beneficiaries, many elderly people were pensioners who were facing problem in getting pension payment.


Tripathi further informed that apart from Aadhaar registration and error correction, the JMC has also deployed Operators to ensure correction in Samagra ID. The arrangement was made separately in different hall.
A large number of people got benefit of the camp and hailed the joint effort of district administration and Municipal Corporation.
