Two illegal firearm traders arrested

Misrod police on Tuesday nabbed two miscreants and have recovered five pistols and four cartridges from their possession near Surendra Landmark and Aashima Mall respectively; accused have been involved in illegally trading of fire arms and came in city to supply these firearms. Incharge of Misrod Police Station Sub-Inspector Ghanshyam Dangi said that acting on a tip off a youth was nabbed near Surendra landmark and when he was searched two country-made pistols and six cartridges were found.


The nabbed accused was identified as Vicky alias Vikas Ahirwar (23) of Bina in Sagar. Later, in the investigation when he was quizzed he confessed regarding his accomplice near Aashima Mall where he was nabbed. A police team rushed to the spot and nabbed a man of the description provided by the nabbed accused and when he was searched three pistols and two cartridges were recovered from his possession.


The nabbed accused was identified as Bhan Singh (45) of Bhangarh in Sagar district.


After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act and both the accused are being quizzed at length regarding details from where they procured these firearms as well as names of other persons involved with them in buying these arms in the city.
