Municipal Commr Vedprakash reviews works under Swachhta Survekshan

To review on-going works under Swachhta Survekshan 2018, Municipal Commissioner Vedprakash, on Thursday took a meeting of Health Department and gave necessary directions to senior officials and employees of the department.


During the meeting he directed the officials to apprise the masses of Union Government's message, ‘Mera Shahar Meri Jimmedari’ (my city my responsibility). He asked the officials to also develop the same feelings amongst them and be a part of the drive for making the city clean. He urged the health department officials and employees to pump full energy in gathering public support and participation in the drive.


It may be noted that the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) is carrying out special drive to spread the message of cleanliness amongst citizen. The health department employees are making door-to-door visit and urging people to keep their surroundings clean. They also requesting people to avoid use of plastic carry bags and use the carry bags made of paper of cloth. Apart from that they too have been asking businessmen, shopkeepers and vendors to keep dustbins at their establishments, shops and making appeal to the residents to dump garbage only into garbage van and bins.


During the meeting the Municipal Commissioner further asked the senior officials to make communication with members of Mohalla Samitis and ensure their participation in the drive. He asked Chief Sanitary Inspectors to make special committees in concerned wards and invite committee members in programmes orgnaise by the JMC. He said the JMC would award the committees, their members and citizens for their support and cooperation in the cleanliness drive.Amongst those participated in the meeting were OSD, Swachhata Abiyan, Bhupendra Singh, Health Officer, G S Chandel, Assistant Health Officer, K K Dubey, Chief Health inspectors and Health Inspectors of all 15 divisions and Ward Supervisors.
