Woman’s body found near farm

SENSATION prevailed in Sagauna village when body of an unidentified woman was found amidst husks near a farm under jurisdiction of Patan police station on Thursday. Prima facie of investigations confirmed that the woman was killed after being hit by a stone. Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural), Sanjay Sahu informed that under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Shashi Kant Shukla separate teams have been constituted for investigation into the case and apprehending the accused. Teams are conducting a thorough investigation to identify and woman and reason behind her brutal killing. According to Patan police, on Thursday morning, Gram Kotwar of village Madva, Jeevan Jharia (65) informed that a villager named Bhagwan Singh Lodhi, brother of Prahlad Singh Lodhi informed him on phone that he visited his farm in Pathraha village and was running away cattle from his farm when he witnessed body of an unidentified woman whose head was bleeding.


Learning about the incident, SHO of Patan police station Purushottam Pandey, SDOP, Patan, Arvind Singh along with police team reached the spot and called FSL team for forensic investigation into the case. The news spread throughout the area like fire and villagers rushed to the spot. Pointing out gravity of situation, Additional SP (Rural) Sanjay Sahu reached the spot and monitored investigation.


Police team found a piece of stone weighing around three kilograms with a sharp edge probably used to kill the woman. Police have started search to identify the woman while further investigations are under way. Patan police have sent the body for post-mortem after conducting panchnama at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital and registered a case for further investigations.
