63rd National School Games witnesses tough contest on Day 2

Second day of 63rd National School Games 2017 Competition witnessed tough competition among 35 states players in athletics at SAI Centre, Goregaon, play ground on Friday. Under the aegis of CJ Joyson, TP Maran, Sharmila K, shot put competition for girl’s under-17 was played in which Sharmila from Talmil Nadu stood first with 11.28 meter whereas Sushan was second with 11.24 meter. Kavita from Rajasthan achieved third position with 10.83 meter.

In 100 meters race held for both girls and boys, Nisar Ahemd from New Delhi was at first position with 10.76 seconds, Karan Higesta from Maharashtra was second with 10.83 seconds and Shashikant Karnataka was at third position with 10.85 seconds.

In girls category for 100 meter race, players from State Kerala stood at first, second and third positions. NC Saujani was first with 12.43 seconds, Anjali PD was second with 12.46 seconds and Avantika Narele from Maharashtra was third with 12.47 seconds. In 5,000 meter walkathon, Sarabjeet Patel from Madhya Pradesh stood first and bagged gold medal. In 3,000 meter race, Lokendra Singh from State Madhya Pradesh was second and bagged silver medal. In boy’s category, Imran Ali stood first in shot put competition. Hoop Quando Competition and Sky Martial Arts Competition will be continued further days.
