Day time heat, light cold during morning hours in State

Madhya Pradesh is still waiting for the arrival of winter. Days are sultry and hot and people needs to take help of fans and air conditioners to beat the heat. It is only during early morning hours that mild cold is felt but as the day progress, it disappears from the scene. Weather Department said weather conditions remained dry in last twenty four hours in state. There was no major change in minimum temperatures. They were above from normal level in Chambal division and remained at normal level in remaining parts of state. The lowest minimum temperature of 10 degree Celsius was registered at Chindwada and Mandla respectively. Bhopal’s minimum temperature settled at 14.5 degree Celsius and it was at normal level. Its maximum temperature was 30.3 degree Celsius and it was also at normal mark.

Jabalpur’s minimum temperature settled at 14 degree Celsius and it was one degree below normal mark. Its maximum temperature remained at 30 degree Celsius and it was at normal level. However, Indore’s maximum temperature dipped to 29.2 degree Celsius, two degree below normal level. But its minimum temperature was recorded as 15 degree Celsius and it was at normal mark. Over all, maximum temperatures are around 30 degree Celsius and minimum temperatures are hovering around 12 to 14 degree Celsius.

Cold winds are conspicuous by their absence and it is due to this reason that cold is elusive in state. Weather department said wind pattern is not fully northerly that is temperatures have not taken the plunge. The northerly winds are not coming to set in Madhya Pradesh owing to presence of anti cyclone. Temperatures are expected to go down by one or two degree by Saturday and Sunday and it will be after November 15 that temperatures may go down further. As of now, winds are not entirely northerly.
