‘Raipur Going Pink’: Nagpur girl Prajakta bags first prize

Nagpur girl Prajakta Godbole bagged first prize in 21-km category of the half-marathon ‘Raipur Going Pink’, organised at Naya Raipur on Sunday. Similarly, Surajpur girl Sonika bagged first prize in 10-km category while Bhuwneshwari Nishad of Durg clinched the first prize and Tejaswani of Dallirajhara won first prizes in 5-km and 3-km categories respectively. The event was organised in the presence of celebrity model and ‘ironman’ Milind Soman, the brand ambassador of Pinkathon.

In 3-km category, Tejaswani, Ankita Gupta and Dimpal Rajwade secured first, second and third prize respectively. In 5-km category, Bhuwneshwari Nishad, Sanjana Roy and Monika Nishad won first, second and third prize respectively. In 10-km category, Sonia, Tashila and Manisha Nishad secured first, second and third prize respectively. In 21-km, first and second prizes went to Prajakta Godbole and Chandrawati Rajwade respectively. Bhimeshwari Thakur and Rukmani Sahu shared the third prize in the category. Winners, first runners- up and second runners up were honoured with prize money. The winners and the runners up received prize from Milind Soman, NRDA CEO Mukesh Bansal and other guests.

Around 1200 citizens from Chhattisgarh and other parts of the nation and abroad participated in the “Raipur Going Pink” event. The mega event was organised conducted by IBC24 in collaboration with NHMMI Raipur, Women and Child Development Department and ishare. Various fun activities including Zumba were held. India’s best zumba instructor Sameer Sachdeva performed on the occasion and motivated the participants.

The motto of the Run was to raise awareness amongst women regarding breast cancer and embracing a healthy lifestyle.
Additional Director of the Women and Child Development Padmini Bhoi, NRDA General Manager Mahadev Kavre, Dr Kirti Sisodiya and other dignitaries were present.
