Finland offers charging stations for e-vehicles

IN an effort to reduce environmental pollution, Finland Government on Sunday inked an agreement with Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) for e-vehicle charging station. The agreement was signed by Municipal Commissioner Ashwin Mudgal with Nina Vaskunlahti, Ambassador of Finland in India in presence of Union Minister for Road, Transport and Shipping Nitin Gadkari at Agro-Vision exhibition at Reshimbag. Finland will help in developing e-vehicle charging station and transfer its technique.


Gadkari informed the Finland delegates about attempts made by Government to give corruption free and transparent administration in the country. The government is emphasising on quality and time-bound delivery of services with minimum damage to envorionment. Several innovative experiments are under way to enhance quality of life and in this direction, green buses have been introduced in the city. NMC is operating green fuel buses for Nagpurians.


Gadkari welcomed Finland Government for participating in the development of the India in various sectors including industries. Nagpur is a proper place for the investment as it is geographically located at the centre of the country. Deputy Mayor Deepraj Pardikar, Transport Committee Chairman Bunty Kukde, NIT Chairman Dr Deepak Mhaisekar, Additional Commissioner Ravindra Kumbhare, Finland Council member Shreyas Joshi, Nitin Somkuwar, Fortem India Private Limited Vice President Awdesh Zha, Managing Director of Cargo Tech India MC Suresh Kumar, Wartshela India Vice President Parvej Chuktai, Transport Manager Shivajirao Jagtap, Deputy Engineer Rajesh Dupare and others were present.


Deputy Mayor Pardikar and Bunty Kukde welcomed the delegation of Finland at Bhrat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport at Nagpur on Sunday. The delegation then visited Vehicle Charging Station at Nagpur Airport. They visited Agro-Vision by Green Bus.
