HDS members submit memo to MP Rakesh Singh

A delegation of senior office-bearers of Hindu Dharma Sena (HDS) met Member of Parliament Rakesh Singh and submitted an eight-point charter of demands. Dharma Sena members in the memorandum levelled serious corruption charges on senior officials of Cantonment Board. They also demanded for immediate dissolution of existing Board. Office-bearers said Jabalpur Cantonment Board has been deemed A category Board in the country, despite it not having permanent CEO.
Therefore, they demanded for appointment of full time CEO at the Board.

They alleged that the Cantonment Board is not providing needed space to poor vendors at Sadar Choupati. They also demanded for probe into construction of shed to the tune of Rs 70 lakh at Shivaji Ground.

Dharma Sena members also demanded to fix fountain in front of Kargil Smarak near Hamid Chowk. They said Rs 5 lakh was released under MP’s head for beautification of Smarak and fixing of fountain in honour of martyr soldiers.
They said the Cantonment Board got established fountain inside JAC mess, on that, the Defence Minister had ordered for immediate transfer of fountain in front of the Smarak.

They also demanded CBI probe into excess appointments against vacant posts. They also demanded for inquiry for barricading through iron grills on Sadar main road without permission of the command.

After lending patient ear to allegations and complaints of Dharma Sena office-bearers, Member of Parliament Rakesh Singh assured them of apprising the Defence Minister of the same and will ensure action on serious issues. Those present on the occasion were Rajesh Rajak, Bhagchand Patel, Jogesh Rao, Pankaj Gupta, Neeraj Rajput, Sandip Gupta, Nishant Sharma, Vaibhav Gupta, Amit Paswan, Avinash Sukhdan and others.
